Special Graduation Rate Data Request 10/15/07 1/31/08 Not Applicable (Templates with snapshot dates are not included in this submission)
Pennsylvania will begin public reporting of
graduation rates using the new National Governors
Associations cohort graduation rate definition
beginning with the class of 2010 (these students
were ninth graders in 2006-07). This graduation
rate calculation requires individual student
level data. Since PDE to date has not collected
student level data, PDE needs to reach back and
collect the first time ninth graders from the
2006-07 school year. While this is not a formal
PIMS data collection, PIMS will be leveraged for
this initiative.
