• Why does this formula work?
• A cylinder has 2 different shapes a rectangle
  and 2 circles.
• The rectangles length is also the circumference
  of the circles.
• The rectangles width is also the height of the
  cylinder.
• Since a rectangles area is LxW, youd multiply ?
  x d for length and multiply that by the height
  of the cylinder (h).
• Next, since theres 2 circles, youd multiply a
  circles area formula by 2.
• Add these two amounts together.
