LESSON 18
  • GODS WILL FOR HIS PEOPLE
  • (PART I)

2
Opening Prayer
  • Before lesson
  • Dear heavenly Father, like any law, your laws
tell me what to do and what not to do. I don't
always like that. But, Father, show me that your
laws stand forever no matter how I feel about
them. Thank you for sending someone to obey them
for me. Jesus lived perfectly so that I could be
set free from all my guilt! You've done that for
me just because you love me. Now let me show my
love for you. Help me to see your laws as a
guide that will help me love you. Help me see
that by obeying your law, I'm freeing you to
bless my life and make me a happier, more content
person. Help me, for Jesus' sake, Amen.

THE GIVING OF GODS LAW
4
The Giving of Gods Law
God gave the world His Law in two ways
5
Romans 214-15
  • 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the
law, do by nature things required by the law,
they are a law for themselves, even though they
do not have the law, 15since they show that the
requirements of the law are written on their
hearts, their consciences also bearing witness,
and their thoughts now accusing, now even
    defending them.)

6
The Giving of Gods Law
God gave the world His Law in two ways
1. He wrote it in peoples hearts.
7
Deuteronomy 104
  • 4 The LORD wrote on these tablets what he had
written before, the Ten Commandments he had
proclaimed to you on the mountain, out of the
fire, on the day of the assembly. And the LORD
    gave them to me.

8

God gave the world His Law in two ways
1. He wrote it in peoples hearts.
2. He wrote it on stone tablets at Mt. Sinai
9
Ephesians 418,19
  • 18They are darkened in their understanding and
separated from the life of God because of the
ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of
their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they
have given themselves over to sensuality so as to
indulge in every kind of impurity, with a
    continual lust for more.

10
The Giving of Gods Law
God gave the world His Law in two ways
1. He wrote it in peoples hearts.
2. He wrote it on stone tablets at Mt. Sinai
because peoples sin made them forget some of
Gods Law or misunderstand it.
