Shakespeares Life
  • Born April 23, 1564 in Stratford England
  • He died on his 52nd birthdayApril 23, 1616

To the right you can see a map of the world. The
bubble shows you where England is located and
what it looks like.

  • He married in November, 1582 to Anne Hathaway.
  • Shakespeare was 18 and Anne was 26 and pregnant
    at the time they married.
  • He had three children (Susanna, and twins Hamnet
    and Judith).
  • His son, Hamnet, died as a young child.

  • Wrote 37 plays (about 1.5 plays a year since he
    started in 1589 at age 25).
  • He also wrote about 154 sonnets (a specific type
    of poem).
  • He started out as an actor. He acted in his plays
    and those of others.
