Why were the changes made?
The majority of the changes to this new version
were based on feedback from all of you and from
your customers. This latest version includes
suggestions and review by elevator consultants
and architects for their own ease-of-use.

6
Side-by-side comparison
The side-by-side elevator comparison allow the
user to view different technologies (new
installation) or different generations of
technologies (modernization) at the same time.

This view also makes it possible to do on-screen
comparisons of minor tweaks such as lighting type
changes or speed differences.
7
Currency Selection Option
The drop down allows user to indicate currency
type in order to calculate in values other than
USD.

8
Kilowatt per Hour Rate Selection
The cost per kilowatt hour field in the first
version of the calculator was set at .0999 which
is the U.S. national average (DOE) this remains
the default but can now be edited to include any
rate applicable to a specific area/region/state.

9
Description of Drive Types
The link allows user to read more about the drive
types listed in the drop down. Expanded section
of the descriptions to follow on the next slide.
10
Description of Drive Types
This page appears when the user clicks on the
link shows on the previous slide. The additional
information should make it more clear to
calculator users which drive type they should
select.

11
Easy to View Calculate Button
The calculate button is now off-set and more
proximately displayed.
12
CO2 Reduction Calculation
Each calculation now includes the reduction
impact in carbon dioxide emissions associated
with it. This will allow users bidding green
building projects to understand the environmental
impact beyond just energy use.
13
Results
Side-by-side comparison of units and breakout of
fan, light, cooling and elevator information
allows user to easily differentiate between
energy impacts.
