• Several different running Map Services (ESRI
  ArcIMS, AutoDesk MapGuide, plus a selfmade
  solution)

• Implement a client interface for citizens of
  Nuremberg, tourists and non GIS specialists

• Use what data there is, integrate it using
  standards, do not convert data

• Use standardization where possible and
  appropriate to conciliate between the different
  parties involved

• The architecture is fully WMS compatible
  (Interoperability successful)

• All components are Open Source reduced cost, high

  data) has been paid for by the customer

• The software can and already has been adopted in
  several other installations (diffusion process
  started)
