John 135-42 (paraphrased) (At Bethany by the
Jordan 128) John (the Baptist) was standing
with two of his disciples and he looked upon
Jesus as He walked and said, Behold the Lamb of
God! And the two disciples heard him speak and
they followed Jesus.
8
John 135-42 (paraphrased) (At Bethany by the
Jordan 128) One of the two disciples (of John
the Baptist) was Andrew, Simon Peters brother.
He found first his own brother Simon and said to
him, We have found the Messiah. He (Andrew)
brought him (Simon Peter) to Jesus. Jesus looked
at him and said, You are Simon son of John you
shall be called Cephas (which translated means
Peter).

Application Thoughts
Is my core competency mine or His? Is my core
competency preventing me from fully following the
Lord? Is the Lord welcome in my work? Is the
Lord asking me to go fishing with Him in the deep
during the day?
