HEGIS code, and Not the Curricular code. For
Example 02111 is the code for the Sociology BA
at Brooklyn College You can check your code at

Online Submit to CUR as an action Item. Make
clear what kind of Program this is and give it a
number.
Get Governance Approval
Fill out Curriculum Forms With attached syllabi
for new courses and catalog description of old
courses
Make sure to specify that the action item is
asking for new registration rather than
curricular change. Include Resolution and
Rationale
Fill out Faculty SED Form Plus applicable CVs
(max of 2 pages)
NOTE This is for a new certificate That is a
subset of existing Programs, Not combining
across programs. That would be a new program.
Fill out Cost Assessment Forms Projected
Expenditures for the Proposed Program Projected
Revenue Related to for the Proposed
Program Projected Capital Expenditures for the
Proposed Program

Mail, in duplicate, to the Director of Program
Review, Articulation and Transfer with CUR Month
and Item Number
Receive CUR approval by Director of Program
Review, Articulation and Transfer
Presented to Full Board For Approval As part of
the CUR
Action item, forms, and official letter signed by
EVC are sent to SED for Required
Registration Action
Follow up or additional questions may be asked
Approval and Registration
Registration letter received from SED
