The Itinerary Istanbul
  • 3/15 Sat Upon arrival meet with Tour Guide at
    the airport and transfer to the hotel. Welcome
    lunch will be one of the famous Kebap Restaurant.
    Overnight in Istanbul. (L)
  • 3/16 Sun After breakfast explore Hippodrome and
    then domed Basilica of St. Sophia, which has
    inspired architects and religious leaders for
    over fifteen hundred years. Constructed in 326 by
    Constantine the Great, it has been a cathedral, a
    mosque, and now a museum. We continue our
    sightseeing with Archaeology Museum, one of the
    Worlds biggest museums with its works more than
    a million belonging to various cultures.

The Itinerary Istanbul
  • 3/17 Mon Todays included excursions are
    magnificent Topkapi Palace once home to the great
    Sultans, filled with treasures and antiquities
    including twelve thousand pieces of fine Chinese
    porcelain, and the unique Blue Mosque whose
    interior walls are covered with twenty thousand
    blue Iznik tiles. Then visit Basilica Cistern, a
    6th century Byzantine underground cistern, with
    335 massive Corinthian columns supporting the
    immense chambers fine brick vaulting, Chora
    Church with its amazing frescos and Spice Bazaar
    where the scent of hundreds of spices permeates
    the air. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
  • 3/18 Tue Corporate visit(s). Spend morning
    with a Cruise on Bosphorus, along the way,
    viewing the Dolmabahçe Palace and the Beylerbeyi
    Palace. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

The Itinerary Istanbul-Izmir-Pergamum-Izmir
  • 3/19 Wed Corporate visit(s). Free time.
    Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
  • 3/20 Thr Transfer to the Ataturk Airport for
    morning flight to Izmir. Then drive north to
    ancient Pergamum, once ruled by Alexander the
    Great. Famous for the invention of parchment
    paper, Pergamum had a library containing two
    hundred thousand books. Visit to the Acropolis,
    the Alter of Zeus, the ten thousand-seat
    amphitheatre and Asclepion, a fourth century B.C.
    shrine to the healing God Asclepios. Overnight in
    Izmir. (B, D)

The Itinerary Izmir-Ephesus-Bodrum-NY
  • 3/21 Fri Todays included excursion takes us
    to Ephesus, the largest ancient city ever
    uncovered. Once populated with three hundred
    thousand people, it has an enormous amphitheatre,
    which can still hold twenty four thousand
    spectators. As we walk down the marble covered
    streets, we see gymnasiums, baths houses, public
    latrines, and the library of Celsus. Then visit
    local municipality carpet store where you will
    get the chance to explore the district from a
    cultural perspective. Overnight in Bodrum. (B, D)
  • 3/22 Sat Free Day in Bodrum. Overnight in
    Bodrum. (D)
  • 3/23 Sun Transfer to the airport for flight to
    USA via Istanbul.
