Sharing Jesus
  • I dont want to make you feel guilty
  • I dont expect this to be easy
  • I want to give you some tools that can help you

It really all starts with you having a heart for
your friends - this will only come through a
personal walk with Jesus. As you walk with
Jesus, youll begin to pray for your friends -
and when you do that, then these tools will
become power tools.

Cultivating Relationships
Becoming a friend of sinners Create credible
friendships that allow for influence (John 139)
Most of you have many relation-ships with people
who dont know Jesus. The challenge, now, is to
cultivate them and then move on to planting
cultivate 1. prepare land for crops to work
land or prepare soil for growing crops2. loosen
soil to break up soil with a tool or machine,
especially before sowing or planting3. nurture
something to improve or develop
something 4. develop acquaintance or intimacy
with somebody
7
Planting Seeds
Injecting God into friendships Plant truth by
allowing the Word of God to meaningfully enter
into conversation (movies, music, etc.) (John
21-11)
  • Planting is all about dispersing seeds of truth
  • Too much love w/o truth an audience and no
    message
  • Too much truth w/o love a message with no
    audience
  • Balanced love and truth a prime audience
    wanting to hear the message

sermons, truths, what you learn in devotions)
  • INVITE a friend to church or youth group.
  • MODEL authentic faith around your lost friends.
  • Ask good spiritually-focused QUESTIONS.
  • Share your TESTIMONY often.
  • Other ways to plant . . .
  • Pizza night or movie night with friends . . .
    MODEL FAITH
  • Invite friends over to watch The Passion
  • Ask a spiritual question to someone you spend
    time with.
  • Share testimony with someone (faith testimony, or
    practice testimony)

Sharing Jesus
CPR CULTIVATE credible friendships that allow
for Christian influence PLANT truth through
meaningful conversation REAP a life-changing
harvest by offering Christ and His challenge to
repent and believe in Him
10
Reaping A Harvest
Clearly and concisely presenting the gospel and
calling for a response Reap a life-changing
harvest by holding one another accountable to
walk like Jesus (John 1312-17)
What is reaping? Challenging friends to RESPOND
to the truth of Gods Word. Galatians 69 Let us
not become weary in doing good, for at the proper
time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
11
How do I REAP a Harvest for Jesus Christ?
Our Job Clearly and precisely PRESENT the Good
News of Jesus Christ. Call people to RESPOND to
that message. Gods Job CONVICT the spiritually
lost of sin and convince them of a need for God
in their lives. John 168 He will convict the
world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness
and judgment. DRAW the spiritually lost to
Himself. John 644 No one can come to me unless
the Father who sent me draws them.
12
I would love to have the chance to share Jesus
with one of your friends to show you how to do
it.
