  wanted to break from the Church of England
• They arrived on a ship carrying 101 people
• Their trip took 66 days

• Settlers did not have silver buckles on their
  shoes or black clothing
• Their clothing was bright

Interesting Facts

• The Pilgrims and Settlers worked to protect each
  other in March 1621
• Thanksgiving was a 3 day feast
• They played games ,sang, and danced
• Thanksgiving was originally a religious holiday
  that did not include a feast
• The first religious Thanksgiving was not
  celebrated in the colony until two years later
  (1623)
