- Donated projects are predominantly political,
(history) education is not the first target or
considered too sensitive - Trainings can only address certain aspects, not a
comprehensive course - A rather aged (history) educators

- Wide gabs and even serious disagreements between
main actors historians, experts in history
didactics, educationalists and history education
practitioners - Big bureaucratic and practical difficulties for
teachers to participate in Life Long Learning
events - Growing financial crisis

- Evidence from amongst others Finland and Korea
that if the best students decide for education,
(PISA) results rise - WISE Summits Quatar since 2009
- EU High Level Group Education and Training
September 2011 investment in increasing teacher
quality has high returns

on intercultural dialogue and the image of the

special attention for LLL for educational staff
