• Helps one to grow spiritually and overcome

Preparation to receive the Sacrament

• Penitential Rite
• By participating and asking for Gods forgiveness
• Being attentive and listening
• Mortal Sinners
• Separates us from God
• Must confess your sins before receiving Eucharist
• Fasting
• NOT eating or drinking for one hour before hand
• May have medicine or water
• Sick or elderly DO NOT need to fast

• Ways Eucharist can be received
• On the tongue or the hand
• Through bread and or wine
• Cannot be received more than twice in one
  liturgical day
