AUIR2085S Self-oscillating Half-bridge Driver
DATA SHEET
The AUIR2085S is a rugged, general purpose high
speed self- oscillating half bridge driver which
was specifically designed, tested and qualified
for use in harsh environments such as automotive
under-the-hood applications. Proprietary HVIC
technology enables ruggedized monolithic
construction and an industry benchmarking
negative voltage spike immunity for fail proof
operation even under extreme switching conditions
and short circuit events.

- Features
- Simple primary side control solution to enable
half-bridge DC-Bus converters for 48V distributed
systems with reduced component count and board
space. - Integrated 50 duty cycle oscillator and
half-bridge driver IC in a single SO-8 package - Programmable switching frequency with up to 500
kHz max per channel - /- 1A drive current capability optimized for low
charge MOSFETs - Adjustable dead-time 50ns 200ns
- Floating channel designed for bootstrap operation
up to 100Vdc - High and low side pulse width matching to /-25ns
- Adjustable over-current protection
- Under-voltage lockout and internal soft start
- Lead-free, RoHS compliant
- Automotive qualified
- Advantages
- The AUIR2085S is a self oscillating half-bridge
driver IC with 50 duty cycle ideally suited for
36V-75V. - The AUIR2085S initiates a soft start at power up
and after every over-current condition.
Under-voltage lockout prevents operation if VCC
is less than 7.5V. - The IC is qualified according to AEC-Q100
standards and features an environmentally
friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of
material and are part of International
Rectifiers Zero-Defect initiative. - The AUIR2085S is set up to be in line with
typical change management requirements of the
automotive market.
