COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS
  • Approximately 15 000 inspections conducted
    countrywide and approximately 117 600 firearms
    inspected by the South African Police Service
  • Inspections conducted on private individuals,
    institutions such as dealerships, security
    companies etc. Generally compliance was achieved
    during these inspections.
  • In instances where irregularities have been
    detected the South African Police Services has
    acted decisively to deal with these aspects.
    Approximately 300 persons where arrested in this
    drive and 450 investigations are still pending.
