  requirements while completing your unit's mission
• Environmental issues affect virtually every
  AZARNG activity
• This course will make you aware of the AZARNG
  environmental program at the unit level

• AZARNG must conserve, protect, and restore the
  environment while accomplishing the military
  mission
• Environmental management at unit level helps
  comply with regulations, keep operations on
  schedule, and maintain good public relations

• This course is for soldiers in the Arizona Army
  National Guard (AZARNG).
• The purpose of this course is to make AZARNG
  soldiers aware of the AZARNG environmental program

  to apply anything other than over-the-counter

  you can get a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)

• You and your UECO should know the plan well

• Report all chemical and oil spills to your Unit
  Leader or your UECO
• They will decide whether to report the spill to
  other authorities

  potential environmental effect before your unit
  deploys to any training area
• They will instruct you on procedures for
  environmental protection during deployment

• Every soldier can protect the environment by
  avoiding unnecessary damage to natural and
  cultural resources during unit activities

• Avoid protected wildlife habitat
• Keep vehicles away from wetlands and wet ground
  to avoid ruts and damage
