  program for Scholars
• Monitoring and evaluation of each Scholar

• Provide a 5 year proposal with sections similar
  to the NIH guidelines
• Provide details of what would be accomplished
  during 2 years and how it will be used to
  develop further grants
• Provide details of K application or other grant
  proposals to continue research

• Team mentoring
• 2 or more disciplines, specialties and
  subspecialties
• Integrated joint mentoring
• Project should demonstrate the importance of
  input from multiple disciplines
• Projects require the skill sets of mentors from
  different disciplines
• Mentors meet together with sufficient frequency
  to make important contributions to the mentees
  research
• Mentors communicate regularly with the mentee and
  each other
• Letters must show strong evidence of team
  approach and integration of the disciplines in
  research
