    self-disclosure

  • The revealing of the inner self.
  • Why is this important?
  • Self-Disclosure is a critical part of building a
    new relationship. The process of meeting and
    becoming close with someone new depends on how
    much of themselves each person is willing to
    share.

The greatest risk of self-disclosure is being
rejected either not being liked or accepted.

    room needs to remain confidential. Due to the
    experiential nature of this class, some people
    may choose to share things that they dont want
    repeated outside this class. For the respect of
    everyone, dont repeat what other people share.
