HOW TO READ THE SCALE OF A VERNIER CALIPER?

• The reading of the main scale that coincides
  with the zero vernier scale is between 3 mm and 4
  mm.
• The vernier scale that is joint vertically with
  the main scale is the seventh scale.
• Thus, the reading of the vernier caliper is
• (3mm 0,7mm) 3,7mm

• Measurement is an activity to compare a quanity
  with another quantity that is assigned as unit.
  To measure the quantity of length, we can use a
  vernier caliper.

  a fixed jaw and an vernier scale engraved on a
  movable/sliding jaw
