Introduction

• Rosemala is blessed with natural beauty. Rosemala
  is a part of Kulathupuza gram panchayat but
  separated from Kulathupuza, because of the
  Thenmala Dam. Majority of the land is covered by
  thick forest. This creates problems for the
  native people.

Aims of presentation

• To identify the problem faced by the people in
  Rosemala.
• We want to improve living standard
• We would like to contribute many new
  opportunities for the society.
• We want to develop Rosemala without creating harm
  to wild life and nature.
• We want a total resolution.

Problems of Transportation

• As identified by the survey, Transportation is
  the most important problem in Rosemala
• No State Transport Jeeps are the only means of
  transportation very costly and irregular service
• The road which extends from Aryankavu is not on
  the record of Kerala Govt. This road is part of a
  wild life sanctuary. Our hope is in the hands of
  forest department to develop the road.

Main problem

• Lack of Transportation facility is considered as
  a major cause for all problems. All the other
  problems are somewhat derived from it, so we have
  to give priority to solve the problem of
  transportation

Solutions for Transportation

• Regular service of Kerala State Road Transport
  bus to Rosemala which will be non-expensive
• Permission from the forest department for
  developing the road
• Opportunities for Raising funds for good road
• Through Tourism development
• Economic development cooperation
• Public works department
• Forest Department
• Common People

Our Request for Road and Transportation

• This is our humble request to the Collector of
  Rosemala to look into the transportation problem
  presented here
• We want our village children to be able to go to
  schools and colleges in Aryankavu, we want
  villagers to be able to take the sick people to
  the health centre and hospitals nearby towns we
  want villagers to sell their crops in nearby
  markets and have cash to maintain standard life
• We feel transport facility will solve all the
  other problems and will help for the development
  of our village
