• State your topic and purpose
• Tell the audience your objective and give a
  preview of what you will cover in the
  presentation.
• Attention-getter
• Quotes, anecdotes or personal stories, humor,
  statistics, questions

• Present the main point about your topic
• Points should be in logical order and have smooth
  transitions
• Use examples to illustrate key points
• Closing
• Review or summarize the main points
• Your objective is to make sure your audience
  understands the topic be sure to ask if anyone
  has any questions and always thank your audience
  for their time.

• KNOW your subject.
• Practice your speech until you are comfortable
  presenting it.
• Start and finish on time.
• Use your voice effectively. Speak clearly,
  project your voice, vary your tone, and use
  correct grammar.
