  • While the part that repeats is called the rime.

  • Using onsets and rimes is one of the fastest
    approaches to teaching reading.
  • Start with easy words like at and an.
  • Then add words that rhyme with it like bat, etc.
  • Students will understand that if they can
    recognize at, they can say and recognize bat,
