Aegis
  • The Aegis (also written egis) was the mantle and
shield of Zeus, for even the king of the gods
needed protection in his war with the Titans.
Zeus lent the aegis to his daughter Athena
(Athene) when she fought on the side of the
Greeks in the Trojan War. Homer describes it as a
kind of cloak. Whether it was a cloak or a
shield, it undoubtedly had protective powers,
since on it were serpents and the head of a
Gorgon, which turned those who looked at it into
    stone.

About Us
  • In the beginning of this century in India,
we have started realizing that old models of
    producing general managers and functional
specialist are no longer adequate, in todays
environment. Our education needs be more focused
    towards satisfying industry requirements.
  • This realization laid down the foundation
    of Aegis.
  • Aegis, founded in India in 2002 with the support
of Bharti (Airtel), second largest telecom
company in India, was the first institution in
India to offer a certificate program called
    Masters in Telecommunication Management.
  • Following the success of this programme, we
    have launched a one year, full-time, MBA/ PGP, a
two year, part-time, EMBA and EMPTM in Mumbai,
the economic centre of India in association with
    Schiller International University US.

  • There is huge growth in telecom in India and
the future certainly belongs to telecom managers.
We need telecom managers and unless we rise to
this challenge. Either India develops and schools
an adequate number of trained telecom managers or
    India has no future.

Masters Program In Information Systems (MPIS)
  • MPIS is a one year full time program. The
    program emphasizes the planning, investigation,
    design, development, application, management and
evaluation of Information Systems. The program
trains students to be integral members of
    application design and development teams.
  • The field of Information Systems (IS) addresses
the application software lifecycle, including the
    design, creation, management, evaluation and
analysis of the wide variety of computing systems
applications that are directly used by
individuals, groups and organizations to support
their work and social lives. Students in this
program will master both the technology and the
human behavior in the computing environment.
  • The study of Information Systems is based upon
the concept that there is a growing body of
knowledge on the relationships between people and
computers that is independent of any specific
application. Understanding of the total system
involves both the human and the computing
environment as an integrated whole. Students will
master both the technology and the understanding
of human behavior in the computing environment.

What industry says.
Aegiss MPTM curriculum, I observe has been
formulated and tailor made keeping in mind the
present telecommunication industry needs the
lectures / discussions arranged periodically from
experts from concerned industry not only have
helped in gaining knowledge besides class rooms
but also have made them inquisitive and thought
provoking. Mr. G. Kumar CTO Reliance InfoComm

  • Telecom management program has helped me to
accelerate my career growth. I can very well
assess the impact, which Aegis School of
Telecommunication is going to create on the
Indian Telecom Sector and the world Telecom
    Industry as a whole.
  • As a corporate I have to recruit both managers
and technical people separately. But when I have
to depute people for the project, at present I am
obliged to depute two persons separately. This is
the biggest limitation for any technological
company. If we can have one person who can do
both things efficiently then this will be a value
addition to the person and that's where Aegis
    will fill in the gap.
