• - Rainforest

Tundra

• No trees!
• Permafrost! Most of the ground is frozen.
• Shallow rooted grasses and plants
• Weasels, artic fox, penguins and polar bears live
  in the Tundra.

• Continental Climate-Think land locked.
• Pine, fur and spruce trees.
• Harsh winters
• Species found in the taiga lynx, elk, weasel,
  red deer, moose

• Arid and DRY!
• Rainfall is the major limiting factor
• Coyotes, hawks, snakes, lizards
• Tumbleweeds and cacti grow in the desert

Grassland

• Rich soil, grasses, and similar plants.
• Dry Climate No forest
• cereal grains oats, rye and wheat
• Grazing animals live in the grassland

• This is where we live!! Mild Climate
• Average rainfall and broad-leaved trees that lose
  their leaves annually
• Animals that live there are bears, squirrels,
  mice, deer and rabbits.

Tropical Rain Forest

• Tropical Climate, warmer temperature, lots of
  rain!
• Home to more species of organisms than any other
  biome on Earth
• Monkeys, jaguars, large snakes and many different
  insects live in the rainforest
