What is Listeriosis?
  • Listeriosis is a bacterial disease
  • This bacteria is widespread
  • The main source of infection is contaminated food

Risk
  • Pregnant women are 20 times more likely to get
    listeriosis
  • Pregnant women account for 27 of all listeriosis
    infections

  • Listeriosis can have very serious consequences
    for the baby including
  • Miscarriage
  • Premature birth
  • Infection
  • Death
