• While we decide to build a meeting place, it
  may be good to develop some good techniques for
  building UP the church

• Many times it is easy for a congregation to
  lose sight of the real purpose behind needing a
  building for worship and work

• In this lesson we will hope to reveal some ways
  that each of us can build UP the church

ATTEND The Church UP

• There is nothing more encouraging than getting
  together with brethren to build one another UP
  (Jude 17-21)

• Our purpose for gathering together in an
  assembly is to provoke one another to love and
  good works (Heb. 1024-25)

• The early church was active in their gathering
  to build each other UP (Acts 242-47 207)

PRAY The Church UP

• When was the last time you prayed? What about
  prayer for your brothers and sisters in Christ
  (I Thess. 517 James 516)

• We need to ask for the prayers of the church to
  build UP the church (II Thess. 31-2)

• Think about lifting a brother or sister UP to
  the Lord in prayer next time you pray (Phil.
  12-8)

BACK The Church UP

• The church has a work to do and it is only
  authorized to take up a collection one day a
  week to build UP the body (I Cor.161-2)

• God is looking for every Christian to give as
  he / she has been prospered

• We must give cheerfully and make sure that we
  are doing a fair analysis of what God has
  blessed us with in life (II Cor. 96-8)

TALK The Church UP

• No matter the circumstances we must tell others
  about the gospel of Christ (Acts 84)

• We need to be able to defend the gospel with
  the hope that we have (I Peter 315)

• We are charged with the responsibility of
  taking the gospel to every soul in building UP
  the church (I Peter 411 Mark 1615-16)

WORK The Church UP

• If brethren have all faith and no work, there is
  a dead faith present (James 217)

• We must be active in the work of the Lord so
  that we can grow (I Cor. 35-8 1558)

• Would you be numbered with those who do the
  Lords work in His church (I Cor. 1610 I
  Tim. 524-25)

LIVE The Church UP

• Your daily life should reflect that you have
  been called by the gospel to the
  Lord (Ephesians 41-3)

• Our reputation will be known by others if we
  are truly a faithful child of God (Phil.
  127 John 1334-35)

• It will be evident whether or not you have
  given your life in spiritual sacrifice to the
  Lord (Rom. 121-2)

• Your obedience would not only build us UP, but
  would cause you to be added by the Lord to His
  church (Acts 247)
