  • First understand the Certification System
  • FSSC 22000 Has worldwide recognition, is
    recognized by GFSI and is quickly growing in
    popularity. For food packaging manufacturers,
    this scheme is defined in the two standards ISO
    22000 and PAS 223
  • ISO 22000 contains the requirements for the Food
    Safety Management System
  • The PAS 223 contains the requirements for your
    Prerequisite Programs or PRPs
  • PRPs are the programs that are in place in your
    facility to create a hygienic environment to
    allow you to manufacture safe product.
  • The PAS 223 contains requirements for the PRPs

    Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and the
    Prerequisite Programs (PRPs)
  • Once the FSMS and PRPs are in place, the
    manufacturer contacts a Registrar

    determine compliance of the system with the two
    standards, ISO 22000 and PAS 223

Certification
