OUR MISSION To give students the opportunities
and experiences which lead to the
achievement of total-wellness and in turn a
longer and healthier life!

Student Supplies Needed
  • All students must be dressed appropriately
    for safe participation in Physical Education
    activities. Appropriate dress for Elementary
    Physical Education should allow for freedom of
    movement, be suitable for the activity and
    provide for safe participation. Athletic tennis
    shoes with laces or velcro closures are required
    for participation. It is recommended that
    students have laces double-tied to keep
    shoe-strings from coming undone. In addition,
    tennis shoes should not have heels, roller
    wheels, open-backs nor open-toes. Athletic socks
    are recommended during class activities.

  • Be on time
  • Be prepared
  • No jewelry Exceptions are Medic Alert jewelry
    and Post Earring worn only in the ear.
  • No gum or candy
  • Follow directions
  • Use equipment properly
  • Stop all activity when whistle blows
  • Be courteous when others are talking
  • Stay together and behind P.E. Teacher when
    traveling
  • Cooperate with others
  • Always do your BEST!

Grading percentages/weighting
  • Student's grade is based on
  • Preparation 40
  • Participation 40
  • Classwork/Test 20

Medical Notes
  • Requests made by parent/guardian to excuse their
    child from Physical Education class must be made
    in writing for each occurrence and given to the
    teacher prior to class starting. Excuses of this
    nature are limited to 2 consecutive class periods
    after which time a Physician's note is required.
    If under doctor's care please send original note
    from the doctor stating specifics (what the
    injury or illness is, the activities the student
    can and can't do and length of time the student
    is to be excused).

  • Some themes taught will be Fitness/Food
    Pyramid, Basic Movement, Dance and Rhythm,
    Manipulatives, Ball Handling and Playground
    Safety etc. Students will be required for
    knowledge and skills taught.

    real life activities that will keep them active
    when school is overfor the day, for the summer,
    or for life! Do you have a sports skill that you
    are willing to demonstrate? Are you willing to
    participate alongside of eager learners? Turn a
    jump rope? Test for Fitnessgram? Create brilliant
    bulletin boards? Make me an offer
  • Your time- Record Fitnessgram test scores, taking
    digital camera pictures during P.E. class
    throughout the school year. Video taping physical
    skills during P.E. class. Assist for Field Day.
