  • 1819 May 24th Princess Alexandrina Victoria
    of Kent was born at Kensington Palace, the only
    child of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Princess
    Victoria Mary Louisa of SaxeCoburgSaalfeld
  • Death of Princess Victoria's father and her
    grandfather

  • Victoria was able to speak several languages
  • 1830 March 11th The Princess was told for the
    first time that she might succeed to the throne
  • 1836 May 18th - Princess Victoria met her
    future husband, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and
    Gotha

  • 1840 1882 seven attempts were made on
    Victorias life
  • 1840 June 10th Edward Oxford attempted to
    assassinate twice the Queen
  • 1842 May 29th John Francis fired a pistol on
    the Queen at St. Jamess park

    shoot the Queen
  • 1849 William Hamilton attempted to alarm the
    Queen by firing powder-filled pistol
  • 1850 the Queen was injured when she was
    assaulted by Robert Pate
  • 1872 Arthur OConnor tried to shoot her

  • 1861 December 14th Prince Albert died on
    typhoid fever- Victoria wore for the rest of her
    reign black

  • 1901 January 22nd Queen Victoria, Empress of
    India died peacefully at Osbourne House
  • 1901 February 2nd Her funeral was held at St.
    Georges Chapel in Windsor
  • She was laid to rest alongside her husband in the
    Royal Mausoleum at Frogmore
