Lee and Marlene Canter developed this model which
focuses on training parents and teachers in the
use of assertive disciplinary techniques. In
this model the teacher insists on proper behavior
from the student. It is a system in which
negative consequences are consistently meted out
    for rule infractions. These consequences
increase in severity when behavior is repeated.
