Landscape Architecture
- The Program offers a 4-year curriculum, leading
to the degree Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
(BLA).
2- The Landscape Architecture Program at the
Agricultural Faculty, University of Novi Sad was
founded in 2005 and the first generation of
students enrolled in October 2005. - Altogether enrolled 84 students.
- The courses are performed by the academic staff
of Agricultural Faculty, Faculty of Architecture,
Academy of Arts. - The Landscape Architecture Program was formed
from the Horticulture Program founded in 1973 - The Landscape Architecture Curriculum consists of
four categories of courses - general courses 6
- production courses 16
- technical design courses 10
- art courses 2
- All the courses are one semestral.

10Horticulture
- established in 1973 within Institute of fruit
production and viticulture - first generation started in 1974/1975 school year
- 6 employees in lecturing
- from 1974 till 2004 110 students graduated B.Sc
degree - from 1988 till 1999 were not new generations of
students - in 1999 started new generation of students that
studied subjects in accordance with new program

- Botany - focuses on grass vegetation, colours and
forms of herbaceous plants - Plant physiology - focuses on mineral nutrition
- Geodesy - GIS and implementation of GPS, geodesy
network and cadastre. - Descriptive Geometry with the elements of
greenspace drawing - the students learn to draw,
to use and read technical documentation of
landscape spaces and to develop tidiness,
technical precision and consistency in the
implementation of technical regulations and
standards for drawing in this discipline - Principles of economy the study of the basic
economic principles - Machines in landscape architecture - includes all
types of machines used in nurseries,
establishment and maintenance of landscape and
urban greenery

- Urbanism and spatial planning characteristics
of urbanism in historical development, spatial
planning and its goals. Development of spatial
planning. Development of settlements in Vojvodina
and Serbia. Legislation in spatial planning - Basics of computer graphics - computer aided
design of green spaces by modern computer
programmes - Soil science the study of soil types supporting
the production and establishment of urban and
landscape greenery - History of garden and landscape architecture -
basic knowledge of the significance and the
history of development of gardening art,
conditions affecting the origin, development and
disappearance of garden compositions.
Chronological and dialectic development of garden
and park creativity in the particular cultural
spheres of the world. - Lawns - significance and classification of lawns,
basic principles of lawn establishment. The
criteria of plant species selection in the lawn
agro-phytocenoses. The ratio of plant species in
the mixtures. Composition and calculation of
mixture ingredients. - Basics of architecture and constructing
knowledge related to the development

relationship. The role of building technique in
architecture (construction materials,
construction systems and parts of buildings),
Architectural composition and the typology of
residential, public and production buildings - Fruit growing and viticulture - studies fruit
trees and vine crop in the landscape, forms,
colour - Floriculture - study of flower species and
varieties applied in parks, gardens and
special-purpose features, as well as landscapes
in general annual flower species, perennials,
bulb species, tuberous species and rhizomes,
ornamental grasses and ferns.

conifers in green spaces. - Greenhouse plant production - the technology of
nursery stock production of ornamental trees,
shrubs and flowers in glasshouses and
plastic-covered greenhouses - Landscape ecology - biosphere, diversity,
landscapes... - Seed management of ornamental trees and shrubs -
fundamentals of seed management, seed collection,
seed storage, sowing... - Broadleaves in landscape architecture - deals
with broadleaf trees in green spaces. - Ornamental plant protection the study of the
most important diseases and insect pests on
ornamental trees and shrubs and flowers, as well
as weeds and methods of suppression - Interior Floriculture - production, cultivation
and tending of house plants - Nursery production of ornamental trees and shrubs
- technology of production of ornamental tree and
shrub planting material

- Design of green spaces - design of green spaces,
park, square, yard, block greenery, etc. - Marketing in landscape architecture the aim of
the course is to develop the marketing approach - Site management- students are introduced to the
documentation necessary for the beginning and
termination of works on the establishment of
greenery - Shaping of green spaces in floriculture the aim
of the course is the application of modern trends
in the creation of green-floral spaces - Establishment and maintenance of greenery
introduction to the works undertaken during the
establishment and tending of greenery - Arrangements - basic styles of arrangement,
significance of colour, forms tools and
equipment - Landscape management - landscape planning,
methods and principles landscape elements, the
original and secondary structure of landscapes - Agroforestry and biotechnique of landscape
greenery - agroforestry systems (design,
establishment), as landscape elements in
agricultural regions, phyto-remediation, eco-
network, eco-corridors, buffer zones, zones of
restoration, cores of biodiversity...
16Practical training
- in the nurseries, enterprises for the design,
