The Writings of Paul
  • 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or
spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things
that I write unto you are the commandments of the
Lord. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be
    ignorant (I Cor. 14).

The Writings of Paul
  • 37-40. If any man think himself to be a prophet,
or spiritual. If any one thinks he is inspired,
or has spiritual gifts, one proof of it is that
he recognizes what I write as the Lord's
commandment. This is always a test. Whoever
insists that he has the spirit, and sets aside
the New Testament commands is self-convicted. 38.
If any man be ignorant. If he will be ignorant
and obstinate, let him remain so (Peoples New
    Testament).

but unto holiness. 8 He therefore that
despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath
also given unto us his Holy Spirit (I Thes. 4).
