Mission Statement
  • To provide a sustainable Community Badminton
    structure/club in East Cleveland, to enable
    player development and enjoyable badminton to be
    played at all levels for all ages.

Market Summary
  • The club have embraced the Big club strategy as
    per the Badminton Association of England study.
    The aim is to build a model to
    achieve a total Community Badminton structure in
    East Cleveland.

  • Established adult junior clubs.
  • Mature and progressive club structure.
  • Competitive play opportunities at various levels.
  • Access to senior national Coach, plus 5 level 2
    coaches and 5 level 1 coaches active in the club
    set up.

Goals Objectives (year 1)
  • Year 1 goals
  • Increase total club membership to 200.
  • Secure courts for years 2 3 at Loftus Bydales
    , or consider alternatives.
  • Achieve sustainability for vets club.
  • Investigate ladies only and social sections.
  • Agree way forward for obtaining our own badminton
    facility.
  • Recognise Celebrate clubs 25th Birthday
  • Appoint an Equity officer.

  • To be one of the top 10 Badminton Clubs in
    England.
  • To have made progress to owning clubs own
    badminton facility.
  • To have a club membership of 250.
  • To have links with 5 other clubs Nationally /
    Internationally.
  • To examine and implement as appropriate -
  • Local Initiatives (Tees Valley Sport TVBDO)
  • National (Badminton England Sport England)

Achievements in last 12 months
  • Junior Club gained Clubmark accreditation.
  • Club nominated by Badminton England for Sports
    Club of the Year.
  • Senior Club gained Clubmark accreditation.
  • Dave awarded runner up in Yonex Volunteer of the
    Year Award.
  • Junior members represented Yorkshire Durham
  • 4 Members gained Level 1 coaching award.

Achievements in last 12 months
  • Junior Section started at Guisborough.
  • Links established with Bydales School Laurence
    Jackson school.
  • Veterans section started at Bydales School on a
    Sunday evening.
  • Increased total membership to around 180 across
    all sections.
