Total Off-site Disposal or Other Releases
47.9 increase - Nebraska increase due to a
change in the way Whelan Energy Center in
Hastings, NE reports barium, lead and mercury
releases in their fly ash. - Missouri increase
due to activities at Doe Run Recycling Facility
in Boss, MO. 2. Water Discharges 31.4
increase - Due to the reporting of 3,500,000 lbs
of nitrates at Tyson Fresh Foods in Emporia, KS.
Nitrate had not been reported previously. - Due
to nitrate increases at Tyson Foods in Dakota
City, Excel Corp. in Schuyler and Farmland Foods
in Crete. 3. Recycled Material 19.4 increase
- Missouri increase due to 155 increase in the
on-site recycling at Doe Run in Glover, MO. -
Iowa increase due to additional
tetrachloroethylene On-site recycling at Alcoa
Inc. in Bettendorf, IA and copper Off-site

IA. 4. Mercury Releases 13.1 increase - Due
to 2011 increase of mercury from Whelan Energy
Center in Hastings, NE, which is due to a change
in reporting how they dispose of their fly ash.
