Dimension Key Findings Recommendations
Application Architecture Applications may not be meeting business requirements Deteriorating/Ageing Applications Failing applications need to be addressed immediately Initiate application fixes, upgrades and renewals
Information Architecture The lack of sharing information between systems creates a difficult process for a single view of person, family trees, movements of persons and creates duplicate records in multiple systems Data quality, correctness and duplicate records is an issue and risk which allows fraudulent transactions Improve data integration Data needs to be purified immediately Information architecture and governance needs to be implemented
Technology Architecture Heterogeneous technology footprint Un-managed environment Stabilise and standardise information services and then drive improvement Implement a risk management and disaster recovery business continuity plan Implement standards, policies and procedures
IT-related Business Process Shortage of ICT skills and capacity Less than optimal ICT business processes Build the correct capacity of the right people, and manage performance Formalise and manage IT-related business processes Implement service level management (SLAs and OLAs)
