Background
  • The Department of Home Affairs is the custodian
    of information pertaining to the identity of all
    persons
  • Citizens
  • Temporary visitors
  • Permanent residents
  • Asylum seekers
  • Refugees, etc.
  • The DHA issues various enabling documents
  • Certificates (births, marriages deaths)
  • Travel documents (passports, visas, etc.)
