Community Health Project
  • What is CHP?
  • CHP is a student-managed summer experience which
    partners students with non-profit organizations
    in Kansas.
  • Our mission To provide an interdisciplinary,
    service-learning internship which enhances the
    educational experience of health professional
students by immersing them in a public health or
    social service setting.

3
Why CHP? To experience health and service in the
community!
4
Why CHP?
  • I originally took on the position as a health
care professional however, I soon became much
more than a teacher. Many of the girls began
discussing personal aspects of their lives with
me. The level of confidence and respect they
showed affected me in a way I had never expected.
Having been able to touch the lives of girls who
needed just a little guidance was one of my most
    rewarding accomplishments.
  • Rebeka Weber, The L.I.G.H.T. House
