3Research Objectives
- The purpose of this study was to
- a. Locate where crashes occurred in Grand
- Haven Township.

- b. Define the major contributing factors of
these - crashes by correlating data.

4Hypothesis
- 1. Crashes would occur along major arterial
roads - where traffic volumes were high.
- 2. Most accidents would occur during the morning
- and evening rush hours.
- 3. During the Winter there would be a higher
- amount of drivers losing control of their
vehicles.

11Results
The four roads with the highest volume of traffic
also have the highest amount of crashes.
US 31 209 Lakeshore Dr. 59 Comstock
St. 43 Mercury Dr. 29 60 of all
crashes were vehicle to vehicle of which many
were during rush hours. The majority of the
Vehicle to Animal crashes occurred in the Fall
and the majority of Loss-of-control crashes
occurred during the Winter months.
