and other sanctioned data, build a working
integrated model of the economic, social, and
environmental dynamics throughout the state for
the purpose of greater understanding of highest
    leverage opportunities in breakthrough results
for Oregon. Developing the model is step one.
Step two is convening key stakeholders
(strategy/results teams) to learn from and
discuss the output of the model, develop
scenarios for action and recommend Oregon
Benchmarks refinements to best reflect statewide,
    societal progress.
  • Web 2.0 (http//www.oreilly.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim
    /news/2005/09/30/what-is-web-20.html) Develop a
web environment for Oregon Progress Board that
enables the following a) integration and posting
of statewide and partner metrics across the state
for reference by all b) connection among
communities and individuals across the state
regarding shared interests and solutions in
expanding the health and well being of Oregon c)
blogs that continue the conversation started by
    Oregon Benchmarks.
  • Social Action Research Understanding social
systems and how human communities generate
    well-being. Social action researchers invite
everyone in a group to join them in reflecting on
their aspirations and daily actions. They employ
    rigorous qualitative research practices.
Evidence demonstrates that social action research
    generates higher trust, engagement, leverage,
    learning, action and results.
  • Facilitated Dialogue Sessions Using in-person
    or tele-presencing venues, facilitate
    conversations with key stakeholders, thought
leaders, decision-makers and partners to create a
deeper understanding of what is being learned and
to inform immediate and future action. This
includes facilitation of the steering committee
network and partner communities whose aspirations
and actions align with the plan.
