Target Audience

• The aspect of funschool.com I focused on is
  geared towards PRESCHOOL level children ages 0 to
  5 years old.

Educational Objectives

• Various games teach the children to
• Learn their numbers
• Learn their colors
• Learn how to follow directions
• Learn their ABCs
• Develop reading and math skills
• Become familiar with dates and calendars
• Learn simple ways to maneuver a computer.

Overall Goal of Program

• Students can learn the basics of math, reading,
  letters, numbers, colors, and more through the
  use of instructional technology at an early age.

Instructional Use

• Drill and Practice used in the Stacker game.
  The children can learn their numbers/letters by
  completing each round in a timed setting. With
  repeat use, students will learn how to order
  numbers/letters and will develop strong counting
  skills.
• Tutorial is used in the Connect the Opposites
  game to encourage students to adequately develop
  constructive answers to questions. This
  instruction is self contained and stands alone as
  an activity.

Instructional Use

• Problem Solving games like Formula Fusion
  emphasize problem solving by teaching preschool
  aged children how to solve simple math problems.
• Instructional Game in all the Funschool games
  located within the Preschool index, appropriately
  address the targeted age group. The graphics are
  simple, basic text is used for instruction, and
  the games are challenging but not impossible for
  a youngster just starting out.

Strengths

• The Funschool website is a versatile learning
  tool for children. A major strength of this site
  is that students can learn about numbers,
  letters, colors, and more.
• Funschool has a separate section for the
  Preschool games which makes it easier for
  children, educators, and parents to find games
  suitable for different ages groups.
• The Funschool website is very colorful and kid
  friendly with its animation and graphics.

Weaknesses

• If you go to the List All Preschool Game option
  on the main page, the descriptions of some of the
  games are a little more complex than the average
  preschool child could comprehend. Educators and
  parents may have to help the child to pick a
  suitable game.
• The advertisements throughout the website are
  distracting and take away from the educational
  aspect of the program. Children do not need to
  be distracted by flashy advertisements related to
  things such as rheumatoid arthritis.
