    new task at hand should be named New Ark or New
    Work.The name was shortened to Newark.
  • Trent and the party were to buy the property on

  • The county was named for the governor of the
    province of New Jersey,Colonel Lewis Morris.
  • The area of Morris County was inhabited by the
    Lenape prior to the coming of the Europeans.

    Kerry Kittles, Bart Oates, and William Simon.

  • The highest point in Morris county is at 1,395
    feet above sea level in the Mahlon Dickerson
    Reservation in Jefferson Township.
