6. Summary and Conclusion
  • The current centralized and entrepreneurial
    model for public transport is not working
  • There is a need for an Independent Public
    Transport Authority to regulate and govern public
    transport
  • Public Transport Planning must be coordinated
    with the Local and State Government
  • Quick wins in public transport can come with
    State and Local government support
  • With proper organization and management costs can
    be kept low while the benefits will be very high
