Three Fifths Countdown to History
Eric Williams, acclaimed independent filmmaker
and director of the new documentary Three-Fifths
Countdown to History, announced today his
documentary will be showcased at the Bishop Arts
Theatre Center in Dallas. This movie will
spotlight the Three-Fifths clause located within
the United States Constitution written in 1787 as
a thread to tell the story of Slavery, Oppression
and Racism. Until the election of President
Elect-Barack Obama as the 1st African American
President of the United States of America, this
was a subject far too long considered taboo to

The new film will employ ground-breaking
grassroots distribution strategies and will be
launched online at http//www.usthreefifths.com
as a pay-per view movie. This is the first
documentary from Williams company to do so.
Times may be hard, but Pay Per View is not so if
you love the comfort of your own home, sit back
and watch this riveting documentary for its
artistic, cultural, and historic
significance. Mr. Williams, a masterful
storyteller, was anxious to ascertain what black
Americans thought about the historic day of
voting for President-Elect Barack Obama by
focusing on our past while interweaving it with
the future.

Three Fifths Countdown to History
To chronicle this event, he embarked on an
independent Bus tour visiting black communities
in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. The tour
began on Nov 4, 2008 at 700 am with Williams
casting his vote for President and ended at 1030
pm at a watch party where thousands of African
Americans gathered to witness the countdown to
history. In closing, a national dialogue and
educational process on the history of Slavery
should be established to lead the people of the
United States toward racial reconciliation and
the healing of our collective wounds.
Politically, the United States should apologize
for Slavery and the Constitution
re-written.
