Preparation

• Most states require to have a Masters Degree in
  order to be considered a licensed counselor.
• Some states require to have both counseling and
  teaching certificate to be a school counselor.
• A Bachelor Degree often qualifies a person to
  work as a counseling aid.

• Psychology classes can be useful because
  counselors need to be familiar with human
  behavior.
• Any classes that allows you to interact with
  others because counselors need to have good
  social skills. Ex Dance classes, Speech,
  Biology.
