• Non-profit organisation
• For private pilots flying IFR or to get IR
• More than 450 members
• From all over Europe
• Working for the interests of members in relation
  to authorities, manufacturers etc.
• Main issues are the rapid changes in European
  aviation rules and regulations

• Small aircraft but some are very capable
• Not an Airline economic perspective

European rules and regulations

• Various views on European rules and regulations
  harmonisation should be to help not hinder.
• Existing JAA ground training requirements for
  private IR pilots must change to encourage rating
  and safety
• FRAs and ICAO licences (particularly FAA) should
  be accepted in EU (subject to controls)

• GA needs access to controlled airspace

P-RNAV

• A very nice concept
• TGL 10 is only for new high-end glass cockpit
  equipped aircraft
• Could be useful for regional airports
• Many light aircraft have capable GPS equipment
• GA still needs access to mandated airspace
• GPS approaches to smaller airfields must be
  encouraged
