The exact causes of global warming are
complicated. Most scientists believe it is
mainly due to an increase in greenhouse gases in
the atmosphere. These gases include CARBON
DIOXIDE and METHANE.

• Weather becoming more unpredictable and stormy.
• Some crops benefit from warming, but in some
  areas drought will reduce the amount of crops.
• New pests and diseases could spread in warm,
  humid conditions.
• Various plants and animals e.g. polar bear and
  mountain gorilla disappearing due to loss of
  habitat.
• Rising sea levels caused by melting ice caps will
  mean flooding in low lying coastal areas.
