Manual Data Entry /Auto Conx Basic
Since this is an online system, there is no
software to install. Data can be entered from any
terminal with online access. Any dealership can
simply go to (and bookmark) the Online Management
URL, and they are ready to begin. http//manage.au
toconx.com Each dealership will be assigned a
username and password for accessing the system
and managing their account and inventory. Simply
enter the dealers username and password, and
click Login to continue.

Next, choose Add Inventory from the left rail
menu. This will access the Auto Conx dealership
data entry form.

The first step is to choose the inventory type.
For automotive, Add Automotive will be
selected. First, click on Add Automotive

For a dealership, the next step is to add the VIN
when prompted. This will allow the system to
identify the vehicle. If the vehicle is newer
than 1988, enter the appropriate VIN and click
Decode.

Some VIN numbers can apply to a variety of
vehicle styles within the same make and model. If
this is the case, the dealer will be prompted to
choose the correct style for the vehicle being
entered. Select the appropriate vehicle style for
this VIN, by clicking on it.

Based on the VIN entered and the style selected,
the VIN decoder will automatically populate the
class, year, make, model and trim information. If
the dealership has purchased the Auto Conx Plus
upgrade, many of the detailed information fields
will be populated as well. Enter detailed
information as necessary and continue.

Options can be added at this time, as well. To
add options, simply click on the appropriate
category header, and check the appropriate
box(es). Once one category is complete, simply
scroll to the next option category, and repeat
this process until complete.

Once all optional data has been entered, the next
step is to add any additional information in the
Unique Features field under the Description
header. This information should include anything
that sets this vehicle apart in descriptive
terms, such as one owner, non-smoker,
etc. Add Unique Features and click Submit to
finalize this step.

Once the initial submission is complete, the
dealer will be prompted to choose and upload
photos for this particular vehicle. The dealer
may include up to 25 photos per vehicle. Browse
for photos as needed. You may click the add
photo button to add additional photos. Once all
are selected, click upload.

Once a listing has been submitted, either by
automatic feed, or by manual data entry, edits,
deletions and ongoing inventory management can be
accessed through the online Auto Conx Dealership
Management tool, using the same procedure as
before. http//manage.autoconx.com Simply enter
the dealers username and password, and click
Login to continue.

Once a dealership is logged into the system,
their individual Auto Conx Online Management home
page will appear, offering a variety of functions
for ongoing inventory management. Choose from any
of the links on the left rail to perform these
functions.

For viewing, editing and deleting listings, as
well as for uploading photos and general
inventory management, the Inventory Manager
link provides several choices in a single mouse
click. Click on Inventory Manager to access
these functions.

Auto Conx Inventory Manager
The Inventory Manager tool can be used for
viewing a dealerships entire inventory at one
time, or in segments using a variety of filters.
Inventory can also be sorted by stock number,
class, year, make, model, length of time online
(aging), number of hits and price.

The Inventory Manager tool can also be used to
edit, delete or add/manage photos to existing
inventory. NOTE These features should only be
utilized by dealerships using Auto Conx as their
inventory management system, and NOT if we
receive an automatic feed from an external
inventory management service.

Dealerships can use the Reports feature to
generate a host of inventory reports from new and
used vehicles to listings with missing or single
photos.

The Forms section can be used to create and
print Buyers Guides, Window Stickers and
Customer Handouts for any and all vehicles in a
dealerships inventory. These forms can even be
customized to include information specific to any
state regulations or dealership preferences.

To create Buyers Guides, Window Stickers or
Customer Handouts, the dealership needs only to
choose the vehicle and the form they wish to use
from the list on the left. By clicking the
submit button, a PDF document is created and
downloaded to their computer, complete with all
vehicle information.

Once created, these documents can be printed out
and used by the dealership as necessary. If the
dealership has uploaded a logo into the system,
that logo will also appear on the Window Stickers
and Customer Handouts. Buyers Guides and Window
Stickers can also be customized to include dealer
comments, or more specific information.

The Dealer Admin section can be used to edit
dealership information like physical addresses,
email addresses, phone and fax numbers, or to
change passwords as necessary.

The Preferences section can be used to set up
default information to be included on custom
Buyers Guides and Window Stickers.

By entering default information into these
fields, the dealership can ensure that their
Buyers Guides and Window Stickers will always
contain the correct information. On Window
Stickers, this includes a space for dealer
comments. On Buyers Guides, the dealership can
customize systems covered, duration and
parts/labor percentages.

The Tool Box section enables the dealership to
print out a vehicle data sheets for manually
collecting all the necessary details for data
entry.

Once downloaded, this form can be used for
collecting all pertinent vehicle information
prior to upload. The form contains spaces for
the VIN, as well as ALL of the specifics and
options available on the AutoConx System.
