Description DSCT

• Replaces the Dump a dataset feature in the PAS
• Replaces the IPEDS Electronic Code Book
• Designed as an alternative for power users
• Doesnt have all the bells whistles of the PAS
• Starts w/ screening questions to make choices
• Allows dump of raw tables or
• Quickly creates customized datasets

• Screening questions for school selection
• pick year in which to select schools
• choose all schools
• select schools based on criteria
• paste list of UNITIDS
• upload list of UNITIDS from PAS

Output screening questions

• How do you want your dataset?
• SAS read program w/ data files
• SPSS read program w/ data files
• STATA read program w/ data files
• CSV/spreadsheet format (limit on records
  fields)
• HTML (limit on records fields)
• All programs and data files are zipped for
  download import
