    communication campaign in new and affected voting
    districts. Registering or advising voters where
    to register.

Some of the most important messages for 2005/06
elections
  • You can only vote in the voting district in which
    you are registered and you must register or be
    registered in the voting district in which you
    ordinarily reside. In municipal elections there
    is no provision to vote anywhere but where your
    name appears on the Voters Roll.
  • The youth are urged to register as voters. It is
    cool to do so.
  • Men are urged to register as voters.

    increase of 11 since 2004 to approximately 19000
    voting districts to improve voter access.
  • This represents an increase of just over 25
    since the last municipal elections in December
    2000. There has only been an 11,2 inflationary
    adjustment to the Commission budget over the
    2000/01 figure and the balance has therefore had
    to be found in increased operating and
    procurement efficiency.
