How to View Messages from the Student Message

WELCOME!

• This presentation shows you how to use
  PantherSoft and Student Learner Services to view
  important messages from FIU

Important Information

• PantherSoft now has a new way to communicate
  important information directly to students using
  Learner Services
• Starting Summer 06 students will receive
  important messages from the Registration Office
• Later other offices such as Financial Aid and
  Student Financials will begin to post important
  messages
• This does not replace your FIU Email
  communications you should continue to monitor
  it regularly

If you have messages, the Important Message(s)
link displays Click it !

Your messages display in a list
Click the Subject link to read your message

Click Return when Done

You have options . . .

• View the message and keep it for reference until
  the Expiration Date
• The system automatically deletes messages that
  have expired
• View the message and delete it from the list
• When the messages have all been read and
  deleted, the Important Message(s) link no longer
  displays

How to Delete the Messages
Click to delete
Click the box to activate
Once deleted, you can not retrieve or view the
message again!

For Questions About a Message

• Dont delete it if theres a question
• Contact the department or person sending the
  message
• Remember, act quickly if you have a questions
  because the message is deleted after the
  expiration date and can no longer be retrieved

Dont Forget

• The Student Message Board does not replace your
  FIU Email - User_at_fiu.edu
• Continue to monitor it regularly for important
  information from PantherSoft and/or FIU in
  general
