  • Was a football player in 1950s
  • Played in the C.F.L.(Canadian Football League)
  • Was born in Villeneuve, Lithuania on 10/6/25
  • Had a brother,sister,mother and father
  • Brother and sister born in Canada
  • Came to Canada at the age of 4

  • Went to King Edward elementary
  • Went to St. Pauls High school and he played
    football there
  • Joined the navy before finishing gr. 12
  • ( never traveled overseas)
  • When he returned from the navy he finished his
    grade 12 at Norwood colligate
  • Took phys-ed at McGill University and earned his
    teaching degree
  • He coached an intermediate football team,taught
    at a north end high school and played with the
    bombers at the same time

  • Played from 1949-1964
  • Played for Alouettes in 1949
  • Also played for Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  • He won 0 Grey Cups
  • Was the most valuable Canadian player award in
    1954
  • Played for Montreal 12 years and Winnipeg for 3
    years
  • He started playing for the bombers because all
    the older players went to war

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  • Began as a rugby club in 1930
  • Won its first Grey Cup in 1935
  • Changed their name to Blue Bombers in 1935
  • Won Grey cups in 1958, 1959, 1961, and 1962

The Montreal Alouettes
  • First organized in 1872
  • Played their first game on October 12, 1872
  • The first 2 games were 0-0 ties

  • Kas Vidruk retired in 1964
  • Founded the High school football league for
    Winnipeg
  • He became a teacher at St. Pauls High School
  • Also became a phys-ed consultant for Winnipeg
    school division 1

    about a player that played a long time ago
